LiteOn LTR-52327S does NOT handle TY very well?

Burn baby burn!

Hmm is that a spike for C2 or are it real reported errors ?
I'm just asking if it's not a spike then I really think the TY disc is better.
C2 errors are much more bad as C1 you know !
C1 is allways correctable while C2 is a mystery these days and most times isn't correctable !
I personally think it's a spike or it's comming from the 52x reading speed which is a bit to fast for the media that isn't rotating in perfect shape.

What the heck is wrong with my LiteON 53/32/52?

I downgraded to the QS0B firmware. At first it worked on the 40x Ritek at 52x for a few discs.

Now nothing. Even at 24x.

It fails to burn and creates a coaster on Prodisc [32x] and TY [24x at 40x] and always at the same spot [near the beginning].

Then when I tried a AOpen 12x CDRW, it burns perfectly.

The burns are perfect on my old 24/10/40 Yamaha.

Argh!

Okay I think I got the problem fixed now.

What I did:

- switched the LiteON and Yamaha around - no change at 24x speed.
- upgraded to QS0C firmware - no change
- downgraded to an older version of Nero - no change
- let the "image recorder" create another image of the original CD, then try to burn off that at 32x [b/c I was impatient at 24x] - SUCCESS!
