I recent;y ripped Freaky Friday. It took me 15 minutes. I then lent it to my friend who ripped it with his samsung drive and it took him 9 minutes! I did a speed test and here are my results:
Why is it so slow? I used the no limits firmware and I'm pretty sure DMA is enabled

Try to get it on something besides geocities or a similar free server page, they often don't support directly linking images to other sites, as is the case this time.

DMA is on and everything! i think my drive ripped faster befor the firmware! why is it sooo slow??? i followed dma instructions, its set at DMa and everything
It may be the actual disk. I have noticed that very rarely, if a disk is heavily scratched or damaged in some way, my LTD-163D will rip it very slowly.
