Burning Problem

Postby skandaluz on Tue Dec 30, 2003 2:05 pm

Hi, I was wondering if any of you can help me. Alright, i'm having this burning problem. I'm using Nero Express 5.5 or whatever on a TDK 4800B 48x/24x/48x and it keeps giving me this error. I've tried different types of media and it keeps giving me this error. Below is a screenshot of the error.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Thanks in advance.

If you haven't tried already, try burnin' at a slower speed.Like 24x or 16x to see what happens.Use RW's(high speed if ya got em')so no wasteage.
Or just try to burn at 4x with an RW to see if burnin is OK all around.

why don't you try again, and when it fails click the Save button to save the log, then post it here.
then we'll have some more information, and maybe someone will be able to help you out.
it's a good idea to also supply info about your system (hardware, OS etc.)

couple of suggestions:

1.update to the latest version of Nero 5.5, i think it's 5.5.10.54. you are using 5.5.9.0. can't hurt to try, at the worst uninstall and reinstall the older version.

2. if i'm not mistaken your motherboard uses Nvidia chipset. are you using the Nvidia IDE drivers? it so, try rolling back to the MS drivers. the Nvidia IDE drivers are know to be problematic.

3. in the log you are using Lead Data. try using better media - Taiyo Yuden if you have/can get it.

what are you trying to burn - data?

obviously the problelm is here:
Code: Select all
3:52:00 PM #17 SCSI -500 File Cdrdrv.cpp, Line 1406
SCSI Exec, HA 2, TA 0, LUN 0, buffer 0x02D00000
Status: 0x02 (0x03, SCSI_ABORTED)
HA-Status 0x10 (0x0A, SCSI_HASTAT_REQUEST_SENSE_FAILED)
TA-Status 0x00 (0x00, OK)
Sense Key: 0x05 (KEY_ILLEGAL_REQUEST)
Sense Code: 0x26
Sense Qual: 0x02
CDB Data: 0x2A 0x00 0xFF 0xFF 0xFF 0x6A 0x00 0x00 0x1F 0x00 0x00 0x00
Sense Data: 0xF0 0x00 0x05 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00
0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x26 0x02

unfortunately i'm not enough of an expert to understand exactly what's going on in there. :(

Yes, i'm tryin to burn data. I'm using the Lead data cd-r's because i got the really cheap at fry's electronics when i was in dallas. It was like $4.50 for a 50 pack so i bought it. I'll uninstall the nvidia IDE drivers n see if that works. If not then i'll come back here n ask again, hehe.
