Error trying to run CD Doctor v1.04 - Help!

When I try to run CD Doctor v1.04, I get the error:

"Can't get disc maker data. Missing manufacture.txt file or ASPI layer"


Any suggestions as to what could be wrong ?

My CDRW is a LiteOn 52327S connected on the 2nd IDE port as Master

Looks like you don't have ASPI installed. CD Doctor and KProbe require ASPI to run properly.

Download and install ForceASPI. See, e.g., this post and the preceeding discussion for more information.

Incidentally, there is a newer version of CD Doctor available. Have a look at the very next post in the thread I linked to.
