Startsmart won't stay open

Hi,
I just installed the demo version. When I try to open startsmart it pops up than shuts down immediately, won't stay open.
I reinstalled it two times, didn't help. Any suggestion?

Do you only have trouble with the StartSmart?

IF you go to Start->Programs->Nero, are you able to launch Nero Burning ROM/Nero Express or any of the other programs from there, and do they remain open or close as Nero StartSmart does?

It sounds like a failed install. Did you install from a download off our website, or off the CD?

I would recommend useing the Nero Clean tool on our website @
http://www.nero.com/us/631940828445001.html

to uninstall our software, ANd then do a fresh download of our latest release and reinstall to see if this resolves your issue.

I followed your instruction. It didn’t work.
I’m able to open Nero Burning ROM/Nero Express. I have no trouble.

I’m trying to install it on XP Pro

I had faced the same problem with Nero 6.0.3.X.Only difference was that I was not able to open Nero Express or Nero Burning ROM also.
When I installed 6.3.X.X the problem was gone.I still use 5.5 as I dont think I need Nero 6 at this moment.

You could try installing an older version.It may or may not work.
