PLEXTOR, a leading developer of award-winning solid-state drives (SSDs) and other high-performance digital storage devices for consumers, announced today it will unveil its fastest PCIe SSDs -- the M9Pe Series -- during CES 2018.
Breaking consumer SSD speed barriers, the new M9Pe SSD Series delivers unprecedented sequential read/write speeds of up to 3,200/2,100 MB/s and random read/write speeds of up to 400,000/300,000 IOPS. With the adoption of advanced 64-layer 3D NAND and exclusive PlexNitro, smart cache technology, the M9Pe puts improved performance and durability in its crosshairs.
Optimized for high-level PC gaming, the M9Pe SSD Series includes superior components that reduce lag time and increase boot times by up to 20 percent over other comparable SATA drives. The new M9PeY (HHHL/AIC version) also sports a new eye-catching design with its programmable 3-mode RGB LED lights for the perfect visual appeal on any desktop gaming setup. Like its predecessors, the new M9Pe features a high-performing thermal heatsink (in models M9PeY and M9PeG) that help regulate SSD temperatures during prolonged gaming sessions resulting to stabilized performance. The M9Pe Series offer capacities of 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.

The PLEXTOR M9Pe Series will be highlighted in a private suite at the Aria hotel in Las Vegas during CES and generally available in the United States by March 2018, if not earlier.
Specifically, PLEXTOR plans to release the:
- M9PeY – Designed for desktop computers, the M9PeY is PLEXTOR’s first HHHL add-in card to feature dazzling RGB LED lighting along with superior performance and a highly efficient heat sink.
- M9PeG – Ideal for select laptops and desktops, the M9PeG M.2 form factor features superior performance and also includes an efficient heat sink, catering to the needs of every PC gamer and “prosumer.”
- M9PeGN – Designed for super-slim laptops, the M9PeGN M.2 form factor will appeal to any prosumer doing their daily activities on a thinner device but looking for the same power and performance as any heavier duty machine. This model does not have heat sink but it still delivers the same levels of performance as SSDs built for heftier machines.
