Samsung Electronics today announced the release of its latest external storage device, the T7 Resurrected Portable Solid State Drive (PSSD), special addition to the company’s Portable SSD family. With the same performance compared to the previous T7 model, the new PSSD delivers high-speed storage options and demonstrates a responsible approach to material use.

Responsibility at Its Core
Unlike previous portable SSD lineups, the T7 Resurrected features a unique body case design crafted from 100% recycled aluminum certified by TÜV Rheinland. The body case of the T7 Resurrected, fabricated from aluminum discarded generated during the production of Samsung Galaxy mobile devices, encourages the cross-division circulation of resources. By eliminating the coloring process, the product showcases the natural luster of aluminum while minimizing chemical use and streamlining its manufacturing process. Furthermore, the packaging design utilizes 100% recycled paper and ASA-certified soy ink, underscoring Samsung’s ongoing efforts toward responsible manufacturing practices. Thanks to these efforts, the T7 Resurrected won the 2026 CES Innovation Award in the Sustainability & Energy category.
Performance That Keeps Up With Creativity
The T7 Resurrected delivers maximum sequential read speeds of up to 1,050 MB/s and write speeds of up to 1,000 MB/s on USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard. This allows users to experience rapid data transfers even with large files and efficiently manage data-intensive workloads.
Versatile, Secure and Creator-Friendly
Users can install the T7 Resurrected on a wide range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, game consoles, and operating systems such as Windows® and macOS®, making it ideal for mobile 4K video capture and editing. The new compact PSSD, roughly the size of a credit card, is perfect for outdoor content creators and travelers who need to carry their data securely. With AES 256-bit hardware encryption and durability featuring drop resistance up to two meters, T7 Resurrected reliably protects against data loss.
A Choice for Value-Driven Creators
With its responsibly designed features, robust performance, massive storage capacity, and cross-device compatibility, the T7 Resurrected enables creators to adopt a more conscious choice within their workflow. Samsung is committed to driving innovation in a responsible manner, delivering storage solutions designed to provide exceptional performance and enduring value.
The Samsung Portable SSD T7 Resurrected comes in three capacities of 1TB, 2TB and 4TB models, available to consumers worldwide from November 30, 2025. Manufacturer’s suggested prices (MSRP) are set at $119.99 for the 1TB, $205.99 for the 2TB and $378.99 for the 4TB model.
