Hi I just bought some brand new Verbatim CD-R 52x Discs and every time I try to make an audio CD it refuses to burn on the discs for some reason. I have other CD-R discs which burn fine? but they have speeds of 2x/4x so I'm not sure whats happening. I have an Optiarc 7200. When I burn a long audio CD and check it with CD Speed disc quality test (Benchmark test, too), I notice a downward spike on the graph, always around the 68:00 mark.
Yet, there are no C2 errors. When I copy the tracks onto my hard drive with Exact Audio Copy, there aren't any C2 errors.

ive been having issues with my computer cd/dvd burner.when i try to burn a cd there are to many long gaps between the tunes.sometimes the cd burner wont recogzise there is a cd in it.of when i use the cd on my portable player the player will play the last song first instead of the first song first.ive tried different buring softwares with the same resultsim think-

Will someone please tell me what the folks at Plextor Japan are smoking? The company announced this week that it will be releasing an external version of the Premium2 in June. While I really don't have an issue with them basing it on a 3+ year old drive design, the thing that shocks me is that they want more than $200 for it.

from the above link, 3rd one from the top is the Taiyo Yuden That's CD at 48X, price at 2112 (2218 in red) yen.

The 2nd one from the bottom is also Taiyo Yuden That's CD at 40X, price at 1600 (1680 in red) yen.

what is the difference between these 2, besides the speed? As the price difference is double.

Anyone know if this works with WinXP SP2? I was thinking of moving it to my new computer build to burn CD-Rs if it was worth it. Now the next question would be is it worth it?:)
