News of CD-R/CD-RW Drives

Are these results normal or is my Liteon dvd faulty. I keep getting c2 errors in the same place no matter what disc I test. Look at the pics below, the error is always near the beginning and sometimes at the end. I sometimes even get the message 'servo error' and it won't finsh the test. I have tried the same discs in my Liteon 16102b cdrw and they come out fine with no c2 ...

What program do you like the best for checking C1/C2/CU Errors?

Can anyone tell me which drive is better in reading C1/C2 errors on a burned CD? a DVD driver using CD Speed or the Lite-on 48x12x48 driver under CD Doctor? Ord does it matter?

Also, I been burning quite a fews CDs (TY 80min with firmware VSO8 I think it is) lately and for some reason, I'm getting a lot of C1 errors on these CDs. Any reason why this is occuring (other than defragging ...

Hi I'm using the NEC CD-RW NR-9100A and I am having problems with the error message Power Area Calibration Error and TrackWriting error. I can burn at 8X but no longer at 40X. What are some of the reasons this would be so? What are some solutions? I've tried different CD-Rs and I get the same message. It burns fine on 8X but it's kind of slow. Anyone have a rough idea of how many MB can be overburned onto a 700 MB TY CD?

How can I make a multisession cd? I want to use it for backup so i can just add files and then burn so i dont have to start a new cd every time. Pictures and downloads for example. I have windows XP and NTI Cd maker 2000 standard. (I would much prefer Windows explorer)

Also can I do this with music cds?

On one of my Celeron 366 PCs (with LTR-32123S XS0Z), I have noticed that CPU usage is between 0 and 10 percent when running a CD Speed simulation at 32x, but it is between 90 and 100 percent when burning a 74-min ISO with Nero 5.5.10.35 from the hard drive at 32x. Has anyone else noticed anything like this?

Edit: With a LTR-48125W on this computer, CD Speed will allow 48x burning, but I can't ...

I'm using a 50 pack of Imation CD-R's, and the first 20 or so CD-R's burned on my 48X Lite-On resulted in errors, sometimes a large percent of errors.

The last 3 Imation CD-R's from the same batch burned with my 48X Lite-On has resulted in 100% Good discs...

This is nice, but king of strange...

Has anyone else experienced such wild media fluctuation in a single CD-R Spindle???
