News of CD-R/CD-RW Drives

An oddest thing happend. On my LTR-48246S that reads and burns ok in other programs, Kprobe 1.12 stopped working.

I double checked my KProbe installation, my ASPI layer and my drive cables.

Everything is ok. Everything else works, but Kprobe hangs my system completely when it tries to spin up the drive (I'll look up the last command that it is displayed on the screen when I can crash the next time :)

Anybody have ...

On the Plextor Premium, can I set up GigaRec on the Plextools Pro Software and then burn the CD with Nero if I set up overburning?

A few days ago I bought a MSI MS-8348B CDRW but the shop sent me a MSI MS-8348A. Which one of these two is better?? Should i insist on getting a MS-8348B??

Okay, i've noticed it happens too often. Maybe even every burn.
This burn for instance is 40X with DAO of a DIVX movie, three txt files and one installer file..

Though the burn came out Ok it annoys me because it takes about 5 minutes for such burn.

Is storing CDs in those spindles (say 50 piece) safe? Wont the pressure do something bad to them? Yes I know, thats how they are sold, but then again, they prolly dont sit there for few years that way, do they?

Coz I have many cds without boxes, and thats a good thing, coz I wouldnt have space otherwise, but I'm having problems of how could I store them..

i have a crx215 and i have a very strange prob:
when i try to burn above 16x with various media and various software (nero,120% etc.) - the burner slows down the burn at about 34% which causes almost half of the disc to be with errors.
anybody knows how to fix that prob?

Finally, my HP 9100 stopped recording (this is a GOOD thing :evil: ), so i have to buy a new burner.

Being from Argentina, and worse, being from the South of Argentina, i don't really have a lot of options here...

These are the burners i have to chose from (damn my english sucks :P):

- Sony CRX220A1 ...

I have two LG burners, model GCE-8520B installed in the same PC that work OK using the NERO software supplied. The problem I have is audio discs I burn will work on every CD player I have tried except for my car, a 1999 camry with factory fitted player.
I have tried both burners, burning at the slowest speed possible, using disc copy and transferring tracks individually, without success.
Discs burnt by other people do ...
