Is there some sort of help describing CD speed and drive speed. I really want to use these utilities to see if I have a quality write. everytime I use help, I get help file not found. Im guessing Its because Im using the trial version.

I have a LG GCE-8480B CD writer. When I put x40 CDs in the drive, Nero limits my writing speed to x40. How can I cancel this option?

Using Nero 5.5.9.14
LG x40 CDs

I've always used Nero or Easy CD Creator for making music CDs or data CDs of back-up info (pictures, downloads, etc.). What do most people use InCD or DirectCD for and what are the advantages?

Ever since I put 5.5.10.0 on my system, I haven't been able to burn any CD successfully :evil:

I'd like to switch back to the one right before the most current version; I've never had a problem with that one, but it's not on Aheads web site...

If I update InCD to any version after 3.37, the new versions with the metalic UI, when I put in a CDRw to be formatted, that first dialog box that launches Nero/InCD so you can format, etc.. doesn't show the NEXT button so I can continue. Its a blank space!

I tried all 3 new version updates and the same thing!
I have ZA Pro installed, all current updates and patches.
IE 5.5sp1. WinME, clean ...

I have ARTEC WRR-4848 installed on my computer.
NERO software came with it.

I installed InCD updated to v.3.51.91

I can't format any CDRW.
Formatting starts and about 58% it stops and an error massage pops up:

"Error Code:
0051-0003-000c-0000"

I can't seem to figure this out. I have Nero5 and InCD (latest versions) installed on a W2K machine. Windows is all patched and up to date and otherwise working just fine, except when I use InCD, even after I remove the CD from my Plextor CDrw drive tray, I can still see the volume label and I can even open the drive and see the folders and files still there! I can even drag&drop, ...

does anyone know the difference between the two? what's that 96 for?
