InCD 3.51.61 BSOD's in XP - not a miracle...

This is just a warning to people jumping on the latest InCD.

Last night I reinstalled Nero 5.5.9.17 and InCD 3.51.61 on my XP Pro SP1 box, together with the latest EasyWriteReader.

Initially everything worked fine: both CD-RW and CD-MRW discs formatted previously by InCD 3.31 were recognized by both Lite-On LTR-48125W VS08 and my DVD-ROM drive. However, the CD-MRW (Mt. Rainier) discs didn't have any data, so I wasn't suprised that when they were ...

It's a miracle ... InCD 3.51.61 *works* in XP !!!!!

Just went from InCD 3.31 => InCD 3.51.61 and all is well.

Didnt bother with a clean install - I just let it upgrade

I run a Sony CRX 210E1 - 48 / 12 / 48

3.51.61 happily reads and writes onto my exisiting 3.31-created RW's & there are no bsod etc........

Its bizzare really ...... InCD 3.37 would *not* work properly in XP *but* for some reason 3.31 & now 3.51.61 both work flawlessly ...

Nero w/Sony DRU-500A locks up PC

This is a new one! All I have to do is open Nero with the Sony drive installed, select an action such as, disk copy, etc. Nero then locks up my system to the point that I have to power it down to get control of it. RecordNow works fine but Nero apparently balks at the Sony drive. It worked okay with my Pioneer A04 and it works okay with a Pioneer A05. I suppose ...

InCD + EasyWriteReader + CD-MRW?

Does anybody know if Ahead supports _officially_ having both InCD and EasyWriteReader installed on the same computer? If yes, for which versions of Windows and/or InCD and/or EasyWriteReader? Further, is Mt. Rainier (CD-MRW) supported for both writing to a CD-RW drive and reading on a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive on the same system?

If the answer is NO, maybe I'll stop trying to get the infamous combination of InCD + EasyWriteReader + CD-MRW to work ...

Read Only File Attribute

I've been using Nero Express (latest version) to burn CD-R data discs and I notice it keeps setting the file attributes on all the files it writes to Read Only. This means that whenever I copy an archived file back to my hard disk I have to manually reset its file attribute, so it can be written to. Is there anyway to stop Nero from doing this? Roxio EZCD does not seem to this.
