First time here. I have Windows Media Center 2004. I record a program from TV. Windows Media Center makes it into a DVR-MS file, a standard developped by Microsoft.

What I want is to convert it into AVI.

I edit the file by taking out the publicity. At the end, I have a file of 23 minutes.

I click in NeroVision Express 2, on Export. There I have the choice of DVD, VCD, etc. ...

nero burning rom 6 all versions so far show my yamaha crw-f1 (firmware version 1.0g) cdrw drive as having the ability to burn to dvd media. Now with version 6.3.1.25 every time I open nero burning rom it defaults to dvd format. Nero info tool correctly ID's the drive as a cdrw as it should.

One other thing since I'm at it. When the new compilation windows is open there should be an option to ...

I just tried to burn a set of DVD Shrink output files to a Ritek G04 DVD-R and got the following error at the end of the burn. I'm trying to burn picture files (in tiff format) to Data DVD-Rom using Nero 6. However it just freezes part-way through and I have to use task manager to 'escape'. It freezes each time, always in a different place.
I know the DVD burner is working since I can burn DVD slideshows using Nero. I can also burn them to CD-R without a problem. Is there a problem using TIFF files on DVD-ROM? The files ...

I just installed a NEC 3500AG DVD writer, in addition to a Samsung SW-252B . Now when I run Infotool 2.27 after the scan, no recorders are shown in the dropdown box and it's grayed out.
Infotool 1.01 recognizes the 2 drives.

BTW, with v2.x I have to run it in compatibility mode "Windows NT sp5" or else the PC freezes. I have read somewhere that this is the only fix under WinXP.

I need to take a poll on a possible new feature we may implement in Nero, depending on how many users actually want this feature.

We've had the request posed by a few users who would like our Nero software to be able to 'Close the Tray' on a Recorder.

So my question is, "How many people would like to see a feature in Nero that allows them to close the Tray on ...

I am in hopes that you might be able to set me straight on this. It seems I have read that the same guy who developed DVD Shrink now works for NERO and helped with Recode. My question is this. I know how to backup my DVD's using Shrink, but if I try to do the same using Recode, it will not work because it says the disk is copy protested, which I am sure ...

The German news site heise has an item on Nero reloaded. This is apparently a semi-major upgrade. Nero (and express) go to version 6.6. Owners of the full version 6 can download a free upgrade.

New components are Nero "PhotoSnap" nad "MediaHome". Other modules have improvements in details or sorted out loose ends. E.g. Nero will apparently support a "short leadout" which saves finalizing time and adds ca. 12 MiB capacity.

I can't get Nero ShowTime to play any commercial DVD. However, it will play DVDs I've created in NeroVision Express with no problems. I can successfully play commercial DVDs in WMP 9 with Nero Digital plug-in :-? ShowTime will also play MPEG and AVI files just fine.
