Anyone seen the previews for the show called Scare Tactics? Maaaan, it looks funny as hell!

for the first time, i'm considering buying a spindle of CDs (rather than 10-packs of jewel cases).

most of the spindles i can find here in stores are no-name brands, brands that aren't mentioned in these forums: GPT, SilverLine, Sky, Office Depot, and a few more i can't recall now. and many of the brands that are discussed aren't sold here in Israel.

But one thing is that i am cheap :) I mean a great money manager... so i was lookin for advice on where i can get 2x media in packs of 10 perhaps for a good deal, or where i can get a good deal on 4x media in ...

I am curious, how good are Maxell Color CD-Rs (Ritek) in quality compared to other CD-Rs company?

Also, can someone give me an explanation on this. When I burn a maxell color 40X CD-R, I get a lot lower C1 errors (around 40) compared to when I burn with TY (Memorix 40X) (around 100)? Any idea why this is?

cyberdrive is giving me problems still. Buffer Recorder goes like crazy. Jumps from 97, 45, 24, and then it restarts.I have the new firmware for it. DEA is enabled. I have NO IDEA why it does this.

Will a slow cpu limit my write speed significantly?
I have a PII 333 (celeron) with ample RAM (192M), a samsung SW-248F
(2M cache), and am writing at only about 14x (on 40x TY media).

Yeah I know there's better deals out there. But if you live in the middle of nowhere with only a Big K nearby and hate mail in rebates, it's a good deal. At least they are TY!

we only have 1 UPC.......can we put both rebate forum, both rebate reciept and 1 UPC ............is it work?

last time i did like that with ATT and they only rebate 1. So i'm just want to know if u guy can have 2 rebate :)

It's awesome seeing all the $20 and even $10 deals on CD-RW drives.

I wonder how long they can keep this up. If it's a sustainable business pricing model, that would be great. But I wonder how on earth they can make a profit on such deals, unless the rebates are scams.

I hope in the long run it doesn't hurt competition, which then would hurt us consumers in the end. In the mean time, ...
