I was backing up about 130GB at 16x (my mistake) and made it to the end of disc 15 of 16 TDK (Daxon) dvd-r's when it failed data verification, causing the whole back-up to fail.

It seems there should be a way to go back to the start of disc 15 and resume the back-up from there, rather than being obliged to ditch the whole thing (14 discs and about 3.5 hour) and start fresh. ...

This could be a good idea but it brings up a pet peeve of mine which is the claim that the glass CD will have better sound, quote: "like listening to a live performance".

OK, unchecked Nero Home. Unchecked Nero Scout so it should be disabled and not running and... I might add unchecked every file association to boot.

Your devs need to put their thinking caps on. Nero Scout is an invasive app, especially when it indexes my hard drive even though I unchecked the option that supposedly disables it.

We had the first real snowfall of the season today. Here in Wisconsin, we normally we don't see anything like this until mid to late November. Even crazier, the local ski hill had one run open last week. wtf!?
