Strontium Technology has launched On-The-Go USB drives for smartphones and tablets. These small USB drives have a standard USB on one end and a micro-USB on the other end, so they can be accessed directly from a computer or any OTG-supported smartphones or tablets.
"With Strontium On-The-Go USB drives, consumers can transfer files easily between smartphones, tablets and computers. They can copy songs, pictures and movies from computer and play them on their smartphone or tablet when they are on the move. Or they can copy files from one smartphone/tablet to another smartphone/tablet without needing WIFI or connecting to a computer. They are also storage option for smartphones without MicroSD card slot. Eye-Fi, the global leader in wireless memory cards, is announcing a beta Windows desktop receiver for the Mobi card. The Eye-Fi Mobi card will now instantly transfer directly to the desktop, extending the simple camera-to-mobile photo and video transfer users love.
With pricing yet to be announced, Eye-Fi's new desktop receiver for Windows will be free to all customers during beta and gives Mobi users more choice in where their high-quality photos can be transferred, stored and shared. Mobi users will now have the option to transfer to mobile for on-the-go sharing or to the desktop for greater archiving and editing ability -- all without the hassle of wires or any delay in showing off their best photos whenever and however they want.

‘Incredibly fast’ best describes the new Intrepid 3000 Series. In a steady state condition by which the drive is writing, erasing and re-writing data repeatedly over the full capacity of the drive, the performance for both large block sequential operations, as well as small block random operations, is unrivaled. This includes 520 MB/s for sequential reads (128K blocks), 470 MB/s for sequential writes (128K blocks), 91,000 input/output operations per second (IOPS) for random reads (4K blocks) and 40,000 IOPS for random writes (4K blocks). In comparison to OCZ’s previous SATA III enterprise drives, the Intrepid 3000 Series delivers five times faster sustained performance for 4K write operations and two times faster sustained performance for 4K read operations.
