Strontium Technology has launched On-The-Go USB drives for smartphones and tablets. These small USB drives have a standard USB on one end and a micro-USB on the other end, so they can be accessed directly from a computer or any OTG-supported smartphones or tablets.
"With Strontium On-The-Go USB drives, consumers can transfer files easily between smartphones, tablets and computers. They can copy songs, pictures and movies from computer and play them on their smartphone or tablet when they are on the move. Or they can copy files from one smartphone/tablet to another smartphone/tablet without needing WIFI or connecting to a computer. They are also storage option for smartphones without MicroSD card slot. Our On-The-Go USB drives are the smallest OTG drives in the market, so you will not have a huge device coming out of your phone," said Mr. Vivian Singh, President and CEO, Strontium Technology.
Recognizing the need for a faster, more secure solution for backing-up and transferring smartphone and tablet content without using Wi-Fi or the cloud, Monster Digital has released the Advanced Series of dual connector Mobile USB OTG Flash Drives. Monster Digital is a leading innovator and provider of premium quality memory and storage solutions, specializing in the rapidly growing flash based memory category.

The Advanced Series USB Flash Drives are USB On-The-Go (OTG) compatible, and vastly expand on the usefulness of mobile flash drives in today's digital ecosystem. Most beneficial to users is the dual USB connector feature, consisting of a standard-sized type-A USB connector, as well as a micro USB connector. Micro USB is the standard format common to most Android® based smartphones. So photos, media files, contact information and other vital content can easily be transferred to the drive, saved there as a back-up or, using the standard-sized USB connector, moved onto a Windows PC or Mac. Additionally, given that most of today's TVs and other home entertainment equipment has a USB port, the drive allows for videos and photos created on smartphones, tablets or computers to be easily enjoyed on a large screen without any additional players or cables.

"Now we're adding a simple, instant way to transfer to the desktop and make it easy for customers to get their photos on their computers to edit and archive."
OCZ Technology Group, Inc., a leading provider of high-performance solid-state drives (SSDs) for computing devices and systems, today introduced its next-generation Intrepid 3000 Series of enterprise-class SATA III-based SSDs delivering the industry’s best sustained performance and consistent I/O responses. As the series supports storage capacities up to 800GB, Intrepid 3 represents OCZ’s highest performing and largest capacity enterprise SATA SSDs to date. Leveraging the Everest 2 Platform, a combination of the Marvell 88SS9187 controller with OCZ’s proprietary firmware, the new series features advanced flash management and endurance capabilities that extend NAND flash life and enhance drive reliability, all supported by a 5-year warranty.

‘Incredibly fast’ best describes the new Intrepid 3000 Series. In a steady state condition by which the drive is writing, erasing and re-writing data repeatedly over the full capacity of the drive, the performance for both large block sequential operations, as well as small block random operations, is unrivaled. This includes 520 MB/s for sequential reads (128K blocks), 470 MB/s for sequential writes (128K blocks), 91,000 input/output operations per second (IOPS) for random reads (4K blocks) and 40,000 IOPS for random writes (4K blocks). In comparison to OCZ’s previous SATA III enterprise drives, the Intrepid 3000 Series delivers five times faster sustained performance for 4K write operations and two times faster sustained performance for 4K read operations.
