Biwin, an industry leader in flash storage products, today announced the NuvoDrive™ PX enterprise class 2.5 inch SATA III 6Gbps SSD that supports up to 85,000 random write IOPS and features data loss protection in the event of sudden power failure.

NuvoDrive PX is based on the LSI SandForce® SF-2582 Flash Storage Processor, which packs the vanguard of enterprise reliability features such as global wear leveling, NCQ support, SMART commands support, and an ECC engine capable of correcting up to 55 bits per 512-byte sector.
NuvoDrive PX uses synchronous MLC NAND flash as a storage medium, and can also be built to order with eMLC or SLC NAND. This SSD is optimized for endurance and performance, and is therefore configured with 28% overprovisioning (OP) as a default. OP can be factory set to 7% for OEM customers on request. NuvoDrive PX is sampling now to OEMs in 50GB, 100GB, 200GB and 400GB capacities, and will be in mass production in Q3. Biwin will showcase the NuvoDrive PX in their booth at Computex Taipei, June 5-9 in Nangang Hall booth # J1218.
SanDisk Corporation, a global leader in flash memory storage solutions, today announced that Fujitsu has selected the SanDisk iSSD integrated storage device for use in the new Fujitsu LIFEBOOK™ lineup of Ultrabook™ computers.
The 32 gigabyte (GB) SanDisk iSSD provides fast, reliable storage in the Fujitsu LIFEBOOK U772, UH772 and UH572 models, which Fujitsu introduced today. SanDisk iSSD technology is combined with Condusiv™ Technologies ExpressCache® software in the new Fujitsu LIFEBOOK computers to deliver improved system performance. This software and hardware combination reduces system startup and application loading times to deliver a better overall user experience.
“The LIFEBOOK product line is the result of Fujitsu’s consistent focus on innovation and design,” said Susumu Nikawa, vice president, Personal Computing Div. 1, Personal Systems Business Unit, Fujitsu. “SanDisk’s iSSD allows us the flexibility to deliver a compelling product with the performance and design features that will make the LIFEBOOK a successful entrant in the Ultrabook market.”
The SanDisk iSSD device and Condusiv caching software used in the Fujitsu LIFEBOOK line stores data that is most frequently accessed. Because this caching approach works alongside the computer’s hard disk drive (HDD), system performance is improved while maintaining the larger storage capacities of HDDs. SanDisk holds an exclusive license to sell ExpressCache software as a standalone product and in combination with its SSD-based storage solutions.
Corsair, a worldwide designer and supplier of high-performance components to the PC hardware market, today announced the Neutron Series solid-state drives (SSDs), the industry's first consumer SSDs to feature the LM87800 6Gb/s SSD controller from Link_A_Media Devices (LAMD), a leader in the development of semiconductor SoC (system on chip) solutions for the enterprise and mobile storage market. Also available in an extreme performance Neutron GTX model, the new SSDs bring professional-grade performance and reliability to PC enthusiasts, content creators, and IT professionals.

Available in capacities of 120GB, 240GB and 480GB, Neutron Series GTX SSDs are designed with toggle NAND flash memory to deliver up to a super-high 90,000 random read and write IOPs (input/output operations per second), which speeds up data-intensive tasks like video and image editing. These drives also provide superior sequential speeds of up to 555 MB/s read and 500 MB/s write, for lightning fast file access. The standard Neutron Series models, available in 120GB and 240GB capacities, provide up to 90,000 random read IOPs and 85,000 random write IOPs with sequential speeds of up to 555 MB/s read and 370 MB/s write.
