Transcend, a world leader in flash drives and memory products, today launched the JetFlash T3, a brand-new ultra-tiny USB flash drive. Measuring only 30.2mm x 12.3mm x 2.4mm (L x W x D), the T3 is incredibly compact, and only weighs a mere 2g. Unlike other miniature USB flash drives which are fragile and bend or break easily, the JetFlash T3 is designed to be extra-rugged. Using a special COB (Chip On Board) manufacturing technique that molds the memory chip and circuit board into the drive’s unbreakable Polycarbonate casing, the T3 is more solid and robust than even full-sized flash drives. JetFlash T3’s durability and tiny footprint allows it to be carried in places where ordinary flash drives just do not fit. It can be used as a mobile phone dongle or a keychain accessory, and can be stored safely in a wallet without risk of compression damage.

"Our new Ridata SSD offers exceptionally consistent high performance in all environments," remarked Harvey Liu, Advanced Media President. "Compared to a traditional HDD the Ridata SSD is smaller; uses half as much power; is ultra lightweight; offers incredibly fast boot and access times; and operates at a low temperature with no mechanically moving parts. It is the ideal HDD replacement for OEMs, ODMs and system integrators as well as consumers," Liu added.

Transcend, a worldwide leader in flash memory cards, today announced a new Ultra Speed version of its successful Industrial CompactFlash memory card lineup with capacities up to 8GB. Transcend’s Industrial CF cards are specially designed to meet the strict demands of high-end equipment and machines that run at extreme temperatures. The operating temperature range of Industrial CF cards is much better than normal CF cards, with full functionality down to -40ºC and as hot as 85ºC (normal CF Cards are only rated at -25ºC to 85ºC). Aside from their excellent temperature flexibility, these cards are exceptionally resistant to shock, vibration and dust, while consuming less power and maintaining ultra fast data transfer speeds. Their superb compatibility and durability makes them suitable for use in standard PCMCIA-ATA equipped devices such as industrial PCs, embedded systems, medical instruments, factory automation systems, network infrastructures and other industrial equipment. In addition, Industrial CF cards can even be used as bootable disks in place of conventional hard drives that cannot withstand the harsh conditions of an industrial environment.
