Toshiba’s Digital Products Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced its entry into the cloud storage space with the Toshiba Canvio Personal Cloud. This easy-to-use storage hub allows users to save their extensive media libraries securely in their own homes, with the added benefit of being able to access and stream files remotely via the cloud. With the Canvio Personal Cloud, users will be able to access digital data at home or on the go with their tablets, smartphones or computers via an Internet connection.

Synology today released the official version of DiskStation Manager (DSM) 4.1. In just 50 days DSM 4.1 beta drew in more than 80,000 downloads, which made it another successful operating system in Synology’s history.
