Synology today unveiled the DiskStation DS411j, a 4-bay full-featured NAS server dedicated to backups and data sharing and available at an attractive price tag for home and small office users. Together with recently debuted DiskStation Manager 3.0 (DSM 3.0), the operating system renowned for its intuitive interface, users can manage their data systematically and enjoy multimedia content to their heart’s content.

Equipped with 1.2GHz and less than 3 watts CPU, the DS411j is powerful yet energy-efficient. The fully loaded DS411j consumes merely 42.9W in operation and even 16W when it hibernates, which facilitates extension of hard drive life as well. Power consumption can be further decreased by scheduling power on and off. The DS411j comes with 128MB DDRII RAM, one Gigabit LAN port and two USB ports.
