Mimoco Unveils SDCC 2011 Exclusive MIMOBOT USB Flash Drives
At San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) on July 20-24, Mimoco, creator of the MIMOBOT® line of designer USB flash drives, will release multiple new MIMOBOT products highlighting collaborations new and old. SDCC exclusives will feature high-profile properties such as Star Wars, Emily the Strange, and Batman, and in-person signings will be held throughout the four-and-a-half day pop-culture affair. Mimoco will be operating two booths on the Comic-Con floor, one located in the Star Wars Pavilion (booth #2913M) and the other in the Toy Growers section (booth #4938).

Mimoco's newest partnership brings Cosmic Debris' counterculture icon and black cat-loving artist/rocker, Emily the Strange, to the MIMOBOT collection. Emily will make her debut with a '60s rock poster-inspired "People are Strange" design that is limited to 500 pieces and will be sold exclusively at Comic-Con. Future Emily the Strange MIMOBOT designs will be released throughout 2012. Moreover, Emily creator, Rob Reger, will be signing at the Mimoco booth (#4938) on Saturday, July 23 at 1pm to launch the new collaboration.
Western Digital today announced that its newest generation of the popular My Book Studio external hard drives are designed for use with Mac computers and Apple Time Machine. Now available with a 3 TB storage capacity, the new design features a brushed aluminum casing to match the appearance of a Mac computer, and also serves to keep the drive cool while in use. The aluminum exterior, combined with its WD Caviar Green drives, eliminates the need for an internal fan to reduce drive noise and extend the life of the drive. Although formatted for Mac computers, the My Book Studio external hard drives can also be reformatted for PCs.
