ADATA LEGEND 960 1TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 Solid State Drive
CDRLabs kicks off the week with a review of ADATA's latest PCIe 4.0 SSD, the LEGEND 960. Designed for professional-level tasks such as 3D graphics, film production and computer-aided engineering, this M.2 form factor drive is powered by Silicon Motion's new SM2264 controller and is available with up to 2TB of 3D TLC NAND flash. The LEGEND 960 also utilizes dynamic SLC caching and a DRAM cache buffer to improve read and write performance as well as advanced hardware Low-Density Parity Check (LDPC) code technology and AES 256-bit encryption to ensure data security and integrity. To top it all off, the LEGEND 960 is equipped with a slim, aluminum heatsink as well as an ultra-fast PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe 1.4 interface to deliver up to 7,400 MB/s read and 6,800 MB/s write speeds.

Transcend Information, Inc. (Transcend), a leading brand in digital storage and multimedia products, has officially launched the advanced PCIe 4.0 M.2 solid-state drive (SSD) MTE250S. Featuring 3D NAND flash, an 8-channel controller, and DRAM cache, this SSD delivers sequential read and write speeds of up to 7,200/6,500 MB/s (R/W) and ample capacity of up to 2TB. Its ultra-thin graphene heatsink ensures stable performance during non-stop operation, and its proven performance will bring gamers, content creators, and software developers a fundamental boost, helping them excel in their fields.
CDRLabs has put together a brief review of Samsung's latest NVMe SSD, the 990 PRO. Optimized for graphically demanding games and other intensive tasks including 3D rendering, 4K video editing, and data analysis, this compact, M.2 form factor SSD is powered by Samsung's new, in-house "Pascal" controller and is available with up to 4TB of their latest 7th generation V-NAND flash. The 990 PRO is also available with or without an RGB-enabled heatsink and is equipped with an ultra-fast PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe 2.0 interface to deliver up to 7,400 MB/s read and 6,800 MB/s write speeds. To top it all off, the drive is optimized for Microsoft’s DirectStorage API software technology, which allows games to load much faster by leveraging the full speed of NVMe SSDs.
