I have a Sony DRU510A and recently I've been getting alot of "Power Calibration Errors" via Nero when using Ritek 4x DVD-R's (the purple top and bottom). I've been pulling my hair out all weekend trying to figure this out, I'm hoping someone on here can help:

Whenever I attempt to burn a data DVD, it'll burn up to a certain point (usually between 4%-6%), then stop. The disc will still be spinning, but the status indicator on the front of the drive has gone from a blinking amber (normal) to a solid green (usually standby). I bought a 1620 drive manufactured at Malasya (December 2004). I've been using it for 2 weeks with no problems at all. Now suddenly it refuses to burn or stops burning my Prodisc S03 media with the following error (the LBA address is not always the same):

I have a 52" TV and I can easily see every defect in the recompression process. More people have smaller TV's so when you compress a DVD movie to 60% of it's original size you can't tell. Everything is magnified with the large format TV.

My point is, how can I take a 2 layer disc and turn it into 2 single layer discs without compressing it at all. I know with DVD shrink you ...

in the forum, I read something about FW version A115 for the LG 4120, but on LG website, I can only find A111.
Can please somebody tell me where to get A115?

I bought the movie, "The Bourne Supremacy", and wanted to make a back-up copy for me using DVD Shrink. When I insert the movie in the Pio and open Shrink, click on open disc, then go to back-up, I get an error message. I experienced the same thing with "The Bourne Identity". Hi there,
I bought to my son some blanck DVD-R disks but our LG 4040b does not accept those disks. Manufacturer is unknown and Media code is INFODISK-R01.
We have uploaded latest firmware to drive but no help. Does anyone know if there is people who can modify firmware so that drive can read those disks?
