anyone know anything about Fuji CDRW media?
who makes it? how good it is?

i've seen some in a store here yesterday, this is the first ever Fuji brand media i've seen here. alas no Fuji CDR... :cry: :x

Here is my problem:

I have 2 PCs, both has LiteOn
DVD drives and LiteOn CDRW drives. One PC has Win98se while the other has WinXP(sp1).

While I have no problems reading "most" of the VCD (Video CD/CD-ROM discs) I have, a few of the VCD discs I got can not be read in both the CDRW drives on both PCs and the DVD drive on the WinXP PC.

Are there going to CDRW drives faster than the current fastest
of 52x24x52x ?
(I.E.)
Is 52x the "fastest limit" for CDRW Drives and CD-ROM drives ?

Or are there going to CDRW drives
faster than 52x ?

Maybe 52x52x52x ?
No faster than that ?

I have been trying to convert divx films to DVD, I have used the software that came with my DVD-R/RW (Pioneer A05 Firmware 1.21) which is VOB Instant CD/DVD, only problem is that I cant drag MPEG/existing VOB files into my projects and it doesnt tell you why. The other downside is that the conversion of .AVI to .VOB is massivley long...on average 11hours for a 300 MB AVI file!

I've read a few posts here that users have abled to upgrade their Liteon 48246S firmware, so it upgrades it to a Liteon 52246S, I presume this is the liteon 52x 24x 52x burner with Mt Rainier support.

How do I go abouts doing this. I've also been to the Liteon website, went to downloads and then to Firmware, looked for the firmware upgrade and there is a zip file there named R48SSOA zip, dated ...

I'm getting to the point where I have soo many cds that its getting costly in buying jewel cases and portable cd cases to store them. Got any ideas on other methods in storing all your burnt cds?

Can I get full support for Mt rainier if i flash it to Lite-on
Can I get real 24x rewrite speed when i OC it to 48x24x48
with out any serface error or so
