Hello,

Is this particular CD-ROM drive known for good Digital Audio Extraction(DAE)?

It turns up that DirectCD's latest update on the Roxio site is a full version.
You can install it on any system, regardless if it has ever had DirectCD or any Roxio/Adaptec software on it or not!
No serial number required or anything.

Anybody know of software to test cds? At work we play the cd-rs I burn around the clock and I'm wondering when they will start to get so scratched they stop playing. I'd like to be able to pull them out and test them. much thanks in advance!!!

Is there any program or software that queries the drive and reports back the supported read and write modes (RAW+96, RAW+16, RAW, RAW-DAO+96, etc.)?

My new cd-rw is recognized by Windows 98 (in device manager) but when I try to load a burning program, it takes two minutes or more to load and then does not recognize my drive properly. I suspect an Aspi or registry problem, but have replaced the Aspi numerous times without success. Any suggestions?

was this site down yesterday? i couldnt get it. i pinged it and it was 600ms w/ 25% loss. that was the midday yesterday. i couldnt even come back latter.

will xp install on any mobo? i dont know because iver never installed an os. i ask this because i have an old mobo. hopefully it will.
