FW vs CMC MAG F01 on BENQ 1620

I have a spindle of CMC MAG F01 4x DVD+R's and I am trying to find the best FW to use with the BENQ1620 drive?

From what I read these are my options:

B7P9
B7S9
B7M9
B7T9

I also read that these 4x DVD+R's can be overburned to 8x.

I would like some feedback from all the guru BENQ1620 owners.

Thanks inadvance for your time!

Giving blood

Spazmogen's thread on giving to the tsunami disaster victims brings up a related topic for me: giving blood.

I've given blood to the Red Cross about 10 times in my life, but stopped a few years ago because I had some less than pleasant experiences (physically). They left me alone for a while but lately they've been hounding me with phone calls. They've been calling once a week for the last month or so.

Each ...

Tsunami Relief Fund: has anyone else donated yet?

Rather than buying some new gadget's for my computer, I donated to one of the many relief funds out there.

I donated on Dec 27th when the published death toll was 3,500. I just knew it was going to be MUCH larger that that.

If you haven't donated, please do so.

I donated to the Red Cross, and I may donate again, but this time to Doctor's Without Borders or OXFAM.

If you have donated, ...

Nero always writing short lead-out?

I'm new to Nero 6, long time user of 5, and I noticed that Nero is always writing short lead-out on my DVD Video compliations as well as when I burn images. I'm not sure if it was doing it before (past day or three) and I didn't notice, but it has definitely done it for the past five or six burns. I have the option "Enable generation of short lead-out" unchecked in Expert Features ...

How is the NEC ND-6500A ? Which Media burns best on it ?

Hello,
I recently purchased a Dell laptop and I took the NEC ND-6500A with it because it was an 8X DVD-and+R and Dual Layer.
I can not seem to find any reviews on it.
I am wondering if someone could tell me if its good or bad ? and which media it likes to burn on.

In House Review - LaCie 16x d2 DVD±RW

While I was on vacation, the Digital Dolphin was hard at work on a review of LaCie's new 16x d2 DVD±RW. This NEC based drive sports an attractive case, support for both FireWire and USB 2.0 and some of the fastest DVD reading and writing speeds available. The d2 is capable of 16x DVD±R and 4x DVD±RW writing speeds and has a maximum DVD read speed of 16x. On top of that, it's one of ...
