Lexar, a leading global brand of flash memory products, today announced the company's first High-Endurance microSDHC™ and microSDXC™ UHS-I memory cards. On display at Photokina 2016, the new Lexar® High-Endurance microSD™ cards are built to withstand the extensive write/erase cycles security cameras and dash cams can demand. The cards can record and safely store up to 12,000* hours of 1080p full-HD video footage.

Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. (TAEC) has expanded its family of 24nm single-level cell (SLC) NAND flash memory solutions. The new 16 gigabit (Gb) BENAND™ is housed in an industry-standard 48-pin TSOP package, and offers a combination of high read/write performance, effective write endurance (using 8-bit BCH error correction code), and extended temperature operation. This makes it suitable for a wide variety of commercial and industrial applications.
The new addition rounds out Toshiba's broad SLC product lineup, allowing designers to take advantage of the price/performance of advanced 24nm NAND flash SLC technology at densities from 1Gb to 128Gb. Based on a 4x4Gb die, 16Gb BENAND operates from a power supply of 2.7V to 3.3V with a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Many industrial applications have a long life expectancy. Toshiba designed BENAND with this in mind. With the ability to replace older generations of discrete SLC NAND, BENAND extends the product life of everything from telecom applications and LCD TVs to robots and printers – while also potentially reducing BOM costs.
According to Brian Kumagai, director of business development for TAEC, "SLC NAND is still very much an integral part of the overall NAND market, and leading-edge 24nm devices play a key role in enabling replacement of the older NAND devices that are still being used today."

Lexar, a leading global brand of flash memory products, today announced two high-performance storage solutions to easily transfer and share content between devices with USB Type-C or micro-USB port. The Lexar JumpDrive C20m micro-USB flash drive is a 3-in-1 solution that features both micro-USB and standard USB Type-A connectors that allows users to easily transfer files between On-The-Go (OTG)-enabled Android™ tablets and smartphones. Both drives utilize USB 3.1 (Gen 1) performance for fast file transfer, with speeds up to 150MB/s read and 60MB/s write. Both JumpDrives are compatible with PC and Mac® systems and backwards compatible with USB 3.0 and 2.0 devices, and will be available in capacities of 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. Both drives have a three-year limited warranty.

On display at Photokina 2016, the new C1 and M1 microSD Readers allow users to easily offload content from their sports camcorder or aerial camera to their devices.
The Lexar C1 microSD Reader is a small, compact reader designed for devices with a USB Type-C (USB-C) connector port, enabling users to freely transfer, view, and play back photos and videos on their smartphone or tablet. The Lexar M1 microSD Reader is equal in size and portability, but is designed for devices with a micro-USB port, such as Android™ smartphones and tablets.
