Seagate Technology plc, a world leader in storage solutions, today unveiled two new enterprise-class hard disk drives (HDD) optimized for emerging cloud infrastructures and large scale data centers— the Seagate Terascale HDD and the Seagate Enterprise Performance 10K HDD v7. Ideal for system builders, the Terascale HDD and Enterprise Performance 10K HDD v7 provide high-capacity storage in low-power configurations making them perfect for efficiently and affordably storing the ever-growing amount of unstructured data typically stored in the cloud.

ADATA Technology, a leading manufacturer of high-performance DRAM modules and NAND Flash application products, today launched the DashDrive HV620, an external hard drive that sports sleek lines and a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface.

The Storage Products Business Unit of Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc., announces the world’s largest capacity automotive-grade hard disk drive (HDD), the Toshiba MQ01AAD032C 320GB SATA automotive HDD. As part of the Toshiba MQ01AADxxxC series, the MQ01AAD032C drive addresses the auto industry demand for higher capacity HDDs, which allows for improved in-vehicle user experience, as well as facilitates a growing range of on-board technological applications and functions.
As the industry’s highest capacity single platter automotive-grade HDD, the MQ01AAD032C addresses the needs of telematic infotainment applications where proven reliability, performance and capacity are required. Seagate Technology today took the wraps off its new Seagate NAS HDD— a cutting-edge drive custom-built for always-on, one- to five-bay network attached storage (NAS) systems. Engineered with performance and reliability in mind, the new drives are available in multiple capacity points including a 4TB option— the industry’s highest capacity NAS hard disk drive (HDD) solution available— and strong industry support from nine NAS system partners.
“Today about 50 percent of NAS arrays are sold diskless meaning that customers are challenged with identifying and installing the right storage for their system. By developing a drive like NAS HDD, we’ve taken the guesswork out of it and made it easy for customers to identify the right drive for their system,” said Scott Horn, Seagate vice president of marketing. “By collaborating closely with a variety of partners who specialize in NAS systems, we’re making what was a confusing effort into a plug-and-play one.”

Just 5mm thin, the Laptop Ultrathin HDD is designed to be integrated into ultra-thin, lightweight mobile computing devices and tablets all while delivering high capacity storage at an affordable price.
