QNAP Systems, Inc. today released version 1.1 of OceanKTV - the world's first NAS-based karaoke application - adding many of the features requested in the great feedback it has received since it was launched in January 2016. OceanKTV 1.1 adds YouTube video streaming, allowing users to directly enjoy the near-unlimited amount of music videos from YouTube. This allows users to enjoy music without needing to download or transfer them, providing greater convenience and saving time and storage space.

“OceanKTV 1.1 also adds the ability to reduce vocals from songs, and provides convenient recommended playlists to provide greater choice to users. They can also add their own YouTube playlists to OceanKTV, and easily add playlist collections”, said Marcus Yang, Product Manager of QNAP NAS.

OceanKTV offers a relaxing karaoke experience with many DJ console features and functions, including song requests, inter-cut, volume control, sound effects, audio switching, and additional audio control features. OceanKTV also provides a handy songbook management tool, allowing users to import karaoke music files and add them to favorite collections. With the new YouTube steaming, it's never been easier to just find a music video and start singing.

QNAP NAS offers high-capacity storage for accommodating and easily managing up to thousands of 1080p karaoke songs. With the proprietary QvPC technology, users can enjoy their karaoke videos on a HDMI TV or monitor for the best possible experience. With OceanKTV Client app for iOS® and Android™ devices, smart phones and tablets can be turned into remote controls for better usability. OceanKTV is also now supported by more QNAP NAS models with the new Audio Box. This companion device includes two 6.3mm jacks, allowing two dynamic microphones to be used with a wider range of QNAP NAS models.

Please note that the upgraded OceanKTV Client supporting YouTube streaming features will be released soon.
