Sonic Solutions and Dell continue to expand efforts to make it easy for movie enthusiasts to build a personal digital library of their favorite Hollywood blockbusters.

qflix logo.jpgAn internal Qflix(TM)-enabled DVD burner is now available as an option on select Dell consumer desktops, making it easy to download and record DVD movies. Entertainment enthusiasts can use the rich, user-friendly Roxio(R) Venue application to connect directly to Roxio CinemaNow(R) to easily search, purchase, download, organize and burn favorite hit movies and TV shows to DVD. By creating a personal entertainment library using the Qflix DVD media, movie mavens have the freedom to watch their favorites with a standard or Blu-ray DVD player on TV, in the car or on a laptop.

The internal Qflix-enabled DVD burner is available as an option on the Studio XPS 435 desktop, Studio XPS desktop and the Studio Mini-tower and Slim-tower PCs for $20. The external Qflix bundle announced in September 2008 is also available through Dell's Entertainment, Software and Accessories online store for $99.

"Customers appreciate the simplicity of the innovative Roxio CinemaNow digital delivery technology," said Michelle Pearcy, director, Dell's global software marketing. "Dell is committed to making it easier for people to access and manage their digital content with their PCs, and with Qflix-enabled DVD drives, movie fans can now burn their movies and TV shows to DVDs that can be played on most standard DVD players, whenever, wherever they want."

"Dell is the ideal partner to help bring Roxio CinemaNow services to mainstream computer users," said Dave Habiger, president and CEO, Sonic Solutions. "Fuelled by first-run premium entertainment, together we will help introduce millions of consumers to the immediacy, convenience and flexibility of 'buy anytime, watch anywhere' digital movies, TV shows and music videos."

Roxio CinemaNow will continue to expand its Qflix-ready movie selections. Qflix DVD media that allows the Hollywood approved burning of premium content to DVD can be found at www.qflix.com/getitnow.
