ASUSTOR Inc., a leading innovator and provider of network storage solutions, has announced today the launch of a new live demo site for users to test ASUSTOR Data Master (ADM) 1.0, ASUSTOR’s in-house developed NAS operating system.

Its interface features familiar modern OS controls, true multitasking, background operation and real-time application searches for instant launches. Synology today launched RackStation RS10613xs+, an enterprise-class NAS server with ultra-high performance of 400,000 read IOPS and robust scalability of up to 106 drives, plus multiple layers of reliability for service continuity.
The RS10613xs+ supports SAS/SATA 6G interface and SSD drives, and is scalable up to 424TB capacity when connected with eight RX1213sas expansion units. Powered by Xeon® Quad Core™ 3.3 GHz CPU and 8GB ECC RAM upgradable to 32GB, RS10613xs+ reaches more than 2,000 MB/s read throughput in RAID 5 via supported dual 10GbE connections. Additionally, the implementation of SSD cache technology optimizes its performance of random read-intensive workloads, increasing reading IOPS by over 50%. QNAP Systems, Inc. today announced new Turbo NAS V3.8 firmware; which incorporates sought-after improvements to Turbo NAS multimedia applications and new business features. New features of Turbo NAS V3.8 firmware include support for Windows® 8, improvements in Turbo NAS multimedia capabilities, the addition of Surveillance Station Pro, and proxy client for flexible yet secure Internet access in business environments.
Firmware V3.8 supports the newest Microsoft® Windows 8 operating system, allowing Windows 8 users to enjoy their Turbo NAS experiences which are optimized for Windows 8.
